DataJoint Attends COSYNE 2024

DataJoint was proud to join the global neuroscience community at COSYNE 2024, marking the 20th anniversary of one of the field’s most important gatherings. Across both Lisbon and Cascais, the event brought together experimentalists, theorists, and tool developers to advance our understanding of neural systems.
Engaging with the Community
At our booth, we had the chance to connect with hundreds of researchers working at the forefront of systems neuroscience. Many were exploring how to scale up their experiments and streamline their data operations—and were excited to learn how DataJoint Elements and our open-source tools could help unify acquisition, processing, and analysis.
We spoke with attendees about everything from automated pipelines and multimodal data integration to cloud computing and reproducibility. It was clear: as datasets grow and AI becomes central to discovery, the need for robust scientific operations—SciOps—is more urgent than ever.
COSYNE Turns 20
This year’s COSYNE marked a major milestone: the conference’s 20th anniversary. Founded in 2004 by Tony Zador, Alex Pouget, Carlos Brody, and Mike Shadlen, COSYNE has become a cornerstone for interdisciplinary neuroscience, blending empirical and theoretical approaches in a uniquely collaborative setting.
We’re grateful to have been part of this milestone year—and inspired by the energy and ideas we saw throughout the week.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to meet us. If you’d like to follow up, try DataJoint, or connect with our team, reach out anytime at datajoint.com/contact. We look forward to seeing you at future events!
